Doulton Blue 4ply yarn, bright blue has always been a favourite. This was our very first and signature shade.

This beautiful worsted spun, high-end Border Leicester yarn is grown here on our farm in North Yorkshire, from our pedigree flock of over 300 pedigree Border Leicester sheep. Ours is a slaughter-free flock, so all of our sheep live to grow old.

After shearing we handpick the fleeces and transport them to Bradford for washing, combing and worsted spinning. The result is stunning.  With a great handle, stitch definition and drape, it is the perfect yarn for your special project. British through and through and we are very proud of it!

Our Doulton Blue 4ply yarn is a classic shade which brightens darker shades and can find a place in everyone’s wardrobe.  You will not be disappointed with its versatility, and it tones well with other shades in our range of Yorkshire-inspired colours. Light enough to show off textures and cabling, or simply perfect on its own.  This yarn is perfect for fair isle and steeking, as it has the necessary sticky qualities to enable this technique.
