Near to the fields where the Border Leicester sheep graze, there is a distinctive and well known hill on the skyline. It is called Roseberry Topping. It would be a fairly ordinary conical hill except that one side of the top is chopped away and there is a cliff face from the top for about a quarter of the circumference of the summit. This was as a result of a rock fall in one of the ironstone mines that had been tunneled into the side of the hill. Its name evokes soft, smoky, rosy, raspberry pink and it seemed the right choice for our deep pink.
