Clay Bank DK Yarn.

This beautiful worsted spun high end Border Leicester yarn is grown here on our farm in North Yorkshire, from our pedigree flock of over 300 rare breed Border Leicester sheep. Ours is a slaughter-free flock, so all of our sheep live to grow old.

After shearing we handpick the fleeces and transport them to Bradford for washing, combing and worsted spinning. The result is stunning.  With a great handle, stitch definition and drape, it is the perfect yarn for your special project. British through and through and we are very proud of it!

Clay Bank offers stunning views across the North Yorkshire Moors and is a fabulous base for walkers and those yearning for views of the dramatic coastline and heather moorland. From here you can join the Cleveland Way along the coast or head across the moors. Our Clay Bank DK Yarn is a zingy mustard yarn, a little brighter than traditional mustards. It tones surprisingly well with other shades in our range of Yorkshire-inspired colours.
