This would look equally great with jeans or something smarter, style it how you want. Only basic knitting and crochet skills are required for this garment, it’s a great beginners piece. If you can Knit and Purl then you will be fine. If you can’t crochet, sew on a pretty braid instead and make it absolutely unique! And it’s up to you whether you include the optional pockets.
