Suffolk Violet DK yarn
This beautiful DK yarn from the Sheephills Flock from North Yorkshire is now available in a very Limited Edition. This flock has only Suffolk sheep, which is the flagship domestic breed here in the British Isles. The breed came into being in the eighteenth century, from cross-breeding Norfolk Horn ewes with Southdown rams.
This Suffolk Violet DK yarn is not quite as soft as Border Leicester and has a dry handle. It is strong and perfect for outdoor clothing, including sweaters, scarves, hats, mitts and gloves. Consider it for textured knitting and cabling, it gives really sharp stitch definition. It is very light and warm and anything you knit with it will last for years. It is virtually indestructible!
Available in three vibrant colours, Violet, Indigo and Jervaulx.
