Scarborough Shawlette Scarf Pattern

Description

Scarborough Shawlette Scarf Pattern is a triangular lace shawl knitted in just one skein of our 4 ply yarn.  It is constructed from the centre of the top line, finishing at the outer edges. The finished size is approximately 150cm wide across the top and 75cm down the centre spine to the point after blocking. Blocking will really show off the full extent of the lace.

This small shawl (shawlette) is worked from the centre of the top with increases at each side of the centre line and at the outside edges on each alternate row to give a triangle shape. The main part is a lacy rib stitch with a band of foaming waves lace at the outer edges. It is reminiscent of how the waves break along the Scarborough coast in North Yorkshire.
