Good morning everyone from a very damp North Yorkshire, home of the Doulton Flock of Pedigree Border Leicesters. Welciome to our very first blog.
We have just launched three beautiful, vibrant ,colours, perfect for Autumn/Winter projects. As normal, I had to think long and hard about what colours were trending, what colours were missing from our range, and, more importantly what colours would fit in with our existing range of colours. I took advice from existing customers and members of our Ravelry Group, asking them, what colours would they like to see in our range, going forward? I got lots of answers back and had to trawl through them, before I decided to start from scratch.
The results are, I think, are quite stunning. We added a very dramatic deep Forest Green, which we call Kilburn, to the range. It complements the two existing greens really well, as well as com plementinglots of other colours in the range. Perfect for colour work! It is available in Aran, DK and 4 ply.
The second colour is a very rich, deep, Royal Purple, which we have named after the range of hills which surround us, here in North Yorkshire, Hambleton. It is beautiful against our existing lighter purple and our existing, very delicate, lilac. It's also wonderful with a lot of the other colours from our range. It is available in DK and 4 ply.
The third colour is a very zingy mustard, which we have called Clay Bank, again another place very near us, popular with walkers and cyclists. It is available in 4ply and DK.
All three are now on the website, available for sale.
